Photography is an art. Great photography captures a moment in time but also captures movement, emotion, personalities and mood. A great wedding photographer therefore captures all these things in a form which may be reflected upon forever.
The founder of Lyrical Moments, Stephen Loh, certainly has an eye for a great visual scene, but also the vision to create it and the skills to capture it. When others are watching a movie and immersing themselves in the plot and characters, for Stephen it is all about the cinematography and the story as told through the visual images. This is true of all his work which is inspired by what he sees in the world around him.

A classic example would be the time he saw two children shining flashlights at each other while playing on an escalator. This he recreated on a wedding shoot, incorporating all the fun and childlike excitement of the day. The photograph helped Stephen win Overseas Wedding Photographer of the Year 2009, a coveted prize handed out by the Master Photography Association, based in the UK.
By recreating images from life through wedding photographs, it helps to tell a story which is authentic, and in this respect the images need not be formal wedding shots but rather a means for displaying the characters and emotions involved. Stephen majored in theatre studies at University and this training has helped in the ability to tell a story through using just the right images.
In order to get the best from your wedding photographs, a good relationship with your photographer is essential, and this is a large part of what makes Lyrical Moments such a sought after and professional Singapore wedding service. By entering into detailed discussions with the couple, Stephen can not only take their ideas and dreams on board but will also get a sense of the individualities involved and to stage manage shots which will allow their personalities to shine through.
There is an element of trust involved too in the client/ photographer relationship, and while it may be easier to stage formulaic shots and the results may indeed by satisfactory, Stephen has more respect in his art and confidence in his skills to produce something truly unique each time. This is your privilege and this is what you pay for. Contact Stephen at Lyrical Moments for further information.
